The dog lay unconscious by the side of the road as heavy rain poured down around him. Large puddles washed over his body, and no one knew how long he had been there or what had happened to leave him in such a state.
A small group of people finally noticed him and refused to walk away. They stayed nearby, watching closely and worrying, hoping he was still alive.

When rescuers arrived, his entire body was covered in mud. He was breathing weakly, his body limp and frighteningly soft, as if life itself was slipping away.
He was rushed to the veterinary clinic as quickly as possible. The atmosphere was silent and tense, everyone aware they were racing against time.

The doctors were shocked by his condition. He was suffering from poisoning, had multiple open sores across his body, and showed almost no awareness of his surroundings.
What surprised them most was that he had survived at all. Thankfully, there was still some sensitivity in his legs, offering a small but crucial sign of hope.
Treatment began immediately, and the dog cried as the doctors worked. Maggots were found deep inside his wounds, making it clear how much pain he had endured.

To ease his suffering, anesthesia was administered. His wounds were carefully cleaned, disinfected, and stitched.
Although the poison in his body had begun to decrease, exhaustion still overwhelmed him. He was too weak to eat and could barely lift his head.
By the third day, there were signs of improvement, but he remained frighteningly still at times, leaving everyone afraid he might never wake again.

On the fifth day, relief finally came. He managed to eat a small amount, clearly hungry but unable to raise his head on his own.
Caregivers gently helped him eat, bite by bite. Watching him finish the food felt like a quiet victory.
Tests later confirmed the poison had not come from food. Someone had deliberately harmed him, a truth that was difficult to accept.

Despite everything, the dog continued to fight. His will to live carried him through pain, weakness, and fear.
His survival is a reminder that cruelty exists, but so does compassion. Because a few people chose to stop and care, a life that nearly faded away was given another chance.
